Kick-Ass




Kick-ass, the film, was recently released in the United States, on April 16,2010. This movie is based on a comic book, with the same name, which was written by Mark Miller and John Romita Jr. This movie is about a normal teenager, Dave Lizewski, who dreams of becoming a superhero after he is mugged on the street. He sets out of his journey to fulfill his dream even though he has no kind of superpower. Then he gets caught up on other things, such as teaming up with a former cop to bring down a local drug lord. This movie was directed by Matthew Vaughn, co-produced by Brad Pitt, and co-wrote by Jane Goldman. This movie stars Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Nicolas Cage, and Mark Strong. During opening weekend in the United States, this movie made $19.8 million, averaging $6,444 per theatre that it was played. Also, the movie’s gross revenue is $41,575,312. This movie has received great reviews and was rated an A- by E! News, but definitely one to check out.

  1. The name of the movie along with the cover of the movie make it look stupid and a bit immature, but looking at the money it brought in and the reviews and ratings it must not have been too bad. Maybe I should take the time to watch it or even wait until it is on DVD to rent it.
