2010 Grammy Awards

This previous Sunday, 1/31/10, the 52nd Grammy Awards took place at the Staple Center in Las Angeles, California. The Grammy Awards happen every year and are presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. At the Grammys there are many performances and the winners of many different awards are announced. This year the performers included Lady Gaga, Green Day, Beyonce, Pink, Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift, Dave Matthews Band, and many more highly respected people in the music industry. On this night, many awards were given for things such as best album of the year, record of the year, song of the year, and new artist. The winners of these four awards respectively are “Fearless” by Taylor Swift, “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon, “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)” by Beyonce, and Zac Brown Band.
